Activity 1: SET CALCULATION

A. Apply discrete calculation setting for each session - By clicking this section it will show the more detailed steps in computing your CPD, it will give you the settings to be able to set your CPD more accurate.

Unticking this section means that, only a day event will be computed for the whole session.

Once apply discrete calculation was un-ticked, it will generate the Preferred Minutes Before and After which the scoring through the whole event will depend on it.

Preferred Minutes Before (before the session starts) - this is the allowance time given before the events starts, this gives the delegates the ample time to go the location before the event starts.

Preferred Minutes After (after the session ends) - this is the allowance time given after the event ends, this gives the delegates the ample time after the event. This is usually adjusted especially if there are time changes from the event committee.

B. Minimum Qualifying Percentage - Percentage required to qualify for the full points. This is the percentage to gain the full CPD points.

SESSION SETTINGS (Discrete Calculation is applied)

Name - the name of the sessions, timings and locations that you have entered in the Agenda will be integrated here in this section

Preferred Minutes Before or PMB (Before the session starts)- this is the allowance time given before the events starts, this gives the delegates the ample time before the event starts.

Preferred Minutes After or PMA (After the session ends)- this is the allowance time given after the event ends, this gives the delegates the ample time after the event. This is usually adjusted especially if there are time changes form the event committee.

Minimum Percentage Per Session or M.P.P.S-I: From this section you will set a minimum percentage for each session that will compute the attendance of your attendees for each session. Example 80% for session 1 (2CPD)- this means that at least 80% of delegates attendance to earn the required Full CPD for each session which is 2 CPD.

Maximum Points Per Session or M.P.P.S-II: This is the full CPD points that each delegate can earn from each session. This section is based on the CPD distribution from the event committee

TOTAL CEU POINTS FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT

This section is where you can select which continuing professional education is applicable for your event.

CPD - Continuing Professional Development: this category refers for events catering to all healthcare professionals ( Physicians/ Nurses/ Dentists/ Allied Health Practitioners)

CME- Continuing Medical Education: this category CME credits are for physicians

CNE- Continuing Nursing Education: this category is specifically for Nurses Credits

CPE- Continuing Pharmacy Education: this category is specifically for Pharmacist Credits

Points - This is the CPD points accredited and approved by QCHP for each event

From: This portion usually starts with 0 CPD points. This will set the minimum CPD points to be able to earn from the event.

To: This sets the maximum CPD to be able to earn from the event. The maximum CPD is approved by the QCHP from your program.

ATT. Threshold: This is a percentage allowance from the total hours for each session.This will help attendees to earn a minimal CPD points from attending less the required time from each session.

Points Per Hour: A fixed 1 CPD is allotted for this section. Per the QCHP rule 1 hour is equal to 1 CPD.

Once the Total CEU points for the entire event was set, you may now Approve the settings and Save your work.

Save: This button will save all the data encoded from the Total CEU Points for the entire event and Session Settings

Approved Setting: You can use this button to approved the setting that you have encoded without saving it and you can still update the settings from time to time once finalized then you may now click on the save button and all the details will be implemented to settings.

Note: Once you have set and saved all the settings from Activity 1. SET CALCULATION the status will now change to green color this means that you are now done and go to the next Activity.
